Who we are

Sumangali Sarees is the online retail platform of Sumangali Tex, a heritage textile business established in 1992 in Elampillai, Salem District, Tamil Nadu, India. We specialise in authentic handloom sarees, silk sarees, and Indian ethnic textiles sourced directly from master weavers across India.

Our website sumangalisarees.com is built and hosted on the Shopify platform and serves customers across India and internationally. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and all purchases made through it.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Who can use our services

By using our website and placing orders, you confirm that:

•  You are at least 18 years of age or using the website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

•  You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.

•  You are not barred from purchasing our products under applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

•  All information you provide to us is accurate, complete, and up to date.

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or close accounts at our sole discretion if we believe any of the above conditions are not met.

 

YOUR ACCOUNT

Account registration & responsibility

To place an order, you may be required to create an account on our website. You are responsible for:

•  All activity that occurs under your account, whether authorised by you or not.

•  Notifying us immediately at support@sumangalisarees.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

•  Ensuring that your account information remains accurate and current at all times.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we detect any fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorised activity.

 

ORDERS & PAYMENT

Placing orders & payment terms

When you place an order on sumangalisarees.com, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products at the stated price. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order at our discretion.

•  Order confirmation  You will receive an order confirmation via WhatsApp or email once your order is successfully placed.

•  Payment methods  We accept payments via credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, and Cash on Delivery (COD) where available.

•  COD orders  Cash on Delivery orders must be confirmed by replying YES to our WhatsApp verification message within 24 hours. Unconfirmed COD orders will be automatically cancelled.

•  Pricing  All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

•  Payment security  All online payments are processed securely through Shopify’s payment infrastructure. We do not store your card details on our servers.

•  Failed transactions  If a payment fails after deduction from your account, the amount will be automatically refunded within 5–7 business days by your bank or payment provider.

 

 

 

 

SHIPPING

Shipping & delivery

We ship orders to addresses across India and to select international destinations. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on your location, courier availability, and other factors beyond our control.

•  Domestic shipping  Orders within India are typically delivered within 5–8 business days from dispatch.

•  International shipping  International orders may take 10–20 business days depending on destination and customs processing.

•  Tracking  A tracking number will be shared via WhatsApp or email once your order is dispatched.

•  Delivery address  Please ensure your delivery address and contact number are accurate. We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect address information provided by you.

•  Customs & duties  For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

 

RETURNS

Returns & refund policy

Returns are accepted within 2 days of delivery for the following reasons only:

•  Damaged or defective items  where the product arrived in a damaged or defective condition.

•  Wrong item received  where the item delivered is significantly different from what was ordered.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused, unwashed, unworn, with the original price tag intact, saree folding intact, and in its original packaging. An unboxing video is mandatory as proof of the condition at the time of delivery.

To initiate a return, contact us via WhatsApp or call ☎ +91 95143 09091 within 2 days of delivery with your order details, reason for return, and supporting photographs. Once approved, ship the item to our registered address. Refunds or exchanges will be processed upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Order cancellations

You may request to cancel your order before it has been dispatched by contacting us via WhatsApp or calling 9092709091. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and must follow our return process if unwanted.

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including in the case of pricing errors, stock unavailability, payment failure, or suspected fraudulent activity. In such cases, any payment received will be fully refunded.

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Ownership of content

All content on sumangalisarees.com, including text, images, saree photographs, logos, product descriptions, and website design, is the intellectual property of Sumangali Tex and is protected under Indian copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our prior written consent.
